Great ideas were brought to life at the Festival of Ideas from 9 to 11 March! With over 1200 guests and students and as part of RI’s bicentennial celebrations, we explored the ideas that will move Singapore forward. The festival also featured thought-provoking panel discussions and sharing on a wide range of topics, including sustainability, technology and social change.
It was inspiring to see how people of different backgrounds and perspectives came together to passionately discuss key issues and ideas. Apart from speakers, there were also performances and debates that showcased the incredible talent and creativity in our community! Everyone left the festival feeling empowered to make a difference in our world today.
Beyond panel discussions, our students also got the opportunity to interact with speakers in meet-and-greets! Through these meaningful interactions, our students were able to gain invaluable knowledge from the speakers’ experiences.
A huge thank you to all our speakers for sharing wonderful insights, as well as to our participants for joining the conversation! A huge thank you too to alumnus Lin Wenjie (of The Winery) for creating the RI200 Green-Black-White Mocktail and for donating net proceeds from the sale of the Mocktail to the Tak Takut Kids Club!
We look forward to sharing more exciting events coming up as part of RI’s bicentenary!
