It has been a month since the end of RI’s bicentenary. It was a memorable year for all involved, and one cannot overlook the monumental effort it took for the gathering of minds, energy and spirit for the very institution that nurtured Rafflesians for 200 years. The flame of dedication and fervour for the institution burned brightly and was evident in the innumerous events and activities that were organised by all stakeholders who have a heart for Raffles.

Behind the scenes along with the captains of industry and changemakers, there were countless departments and individuals who worked humbly towards the fruition of the events unseen and unheard. Undeniably, the Rafflesian Spirit of Giving shone the brightest and was exemplified at the events that unfolded in 2023.

The Alumni Relations and Archives team is heartened by the support and involvement of the many alumni who contributed in one way or another towards the success of the above events. Their involvement signals the important inclusion and roles played by alumni in support of the school. The people and the Rafflesian Spirit of Giving were eminent and at the very heart of the year-long celebrations. It is our hope that the bridges built on the network of the many decades of Rafflesians in 2023 will serve as a springboard to facilitate active engagement through meaningful conversations, connections and inspire alumni and all stakeholders to maintain a lifelong connection with the Institution. This sets the frame for all Rafflesians as we move forward in 2024 and beyond.
